I am English, aged 63, married for 37 years, a home owner and debt free. My interests include Sport, Gardening, the Stockmarket, Travel, Wine, International affairs and Business.My career to date has covered 3 phases. Gaining a Professional Qualification as a Chartered Accountant and working for 6 years with Price Waterhouse, now PwC, in London, Africa and the Caribbean. In 1978 set up my own private investment company and purchased 3 companies over 8 years. As MD, these were built up and sold or merged with other companies by 1993. In 1994, set up my own Corporate Consultancy business, specialising in M&A and business Advisory work. Completed deal size £500k to £5m in SME sector.
I have no intention or plans to retire any time soon. Involvement in business is both exciting and stimulating, even more so in difficult times when opportunities are at their best.
I am currently seeking to expand my investment portfolio with investments in owner managed growth businesses, which are at an early to mid stage in their development., preferably established for at least 1 year. For an equity investment (the highest risk) I expect some involvement as is mutually suitable, together with commensurate income. An existing Management Team is also preferred, although nor essential.
