It is also soon to be covered in the monthly Lambeth news letter and the South East London Chamber of Commerce have expressed an interest in promoting it which will help aid in its growth.

Executive Summary
Introduction
?Two for one on all pizza?s tonight?, ?Come help repaint the community centre? ?Tickets still available for the Saturday match?, ?Bring and buy fair this Saturday?, ?Live bands playing this Friday?, ?Latest exhibition now on?, ?New store opening?.
What facebook is to friends, twitter to celebrities and linked in is to careers, the Whasgo Media site is to local communities.
Whasgo is a free website designed so as to allow local businesses / events (Enterprises) to communicate with those people who have deliberately selected their offering and location whilst the users (or Community) get to hear about offers, events, sales, new openings, etc which are of genuine interest to them. The site allows the Enterprises, by using the social media functionality, to self serve and control the look and feel of their communication through their very own ?mission control? page and the Community can amend their settings (interests and area) as and when they wish.
The Service
It?s by using postcodes as the point of reference that allows both the Community and Enterprises to benefit. By the Community choosing the geographical area(s) that are relevant to them (SW2 2LW, + 3 miles) plus their areas of interest (sport, food and drink), and the Enterprises being fixed to one specific location (SW9 9UP) but potentially one or more categories of interests (bar, restaurant, live music) the overlap that is generated is the value proposition provided by Whasgo to both audiences. What enhances this value for the Enterprises is that by adopting social media functionality (updates /tweets) the Enterprises can self serve and control the look and feel of their communication through their mission control page and be both pro active and / or reactive, whichever best suits their current or future needs.
The Community simply take a minute to register and then set their parameters (location and interest) and then will start to receive the relevant communications from the Enterprises. There is the functionality to set two locations, example would be your home and work location, so as to not miss out on what?s going on and in addition there is a ?quick search? link on the home screen so you can also search on a one off basis and get the results appearing on a map.
Because of the level of targeting that Whasgo offers and its simplicity of use, Whasgo will attract a spectrum of Enterprises looking to use the platform. This will range from organisations with national coverage such as restaurant, bars, gyms and retail chains to regional advertisers such as tourist attractions, retail parks, festivals and large annual events down to local level with independent retailers, restaurants, bars and local community events. It?s this broad range of advertisers and the opportunities they provide be it local events, discounts, offers, openings, updates, which will drive the uptake from the Community.
Current Status:
The design and build of the first version of the Whasgo website (www.whasgo.com) is complete so both Enterprises and Community members can register. On the homepage of the site there is information available to explain and help the user about the site and registering process (Example and Help) as well as a quick search functionality (Quick Search).
In addition to the desktop site there is a smart phone compatible site for the Community so they can get updates on the move. Also completed within the site is the administration area so Whasgo Media can validate registrations, monitor any abuse and remotely support the E and C with any access difficulties.
The Market Place
There is no avoiding that the online / offline advertising and promotions market is very competitive and cluttered but Whasgo Media feel strongly that they have found a niche with their proposition. Whilst we see our competition coming predominantly from the online environment and in particular local listing, forums and deals / voucher websites, there are enough points of difference with our site so as to attract a substantial customer base.
What makes Whasgo Media a highly viable investment opportunity is twofold. Firstly the market place we operate in is continuing to grow as people access to, and time online, continues to grow. In addition to this Whasgo is designed to attract a very broad demographic with a Community profile of both males and females and with the age range stretching from teens to OAPs.
Ownership
Whasgo Media is 100% owned and ran by the founder who is degree educated and has 15 years experience working across the two industries of firstly media (as a senior planner / buyer for advertising campaigns) and then procurement where he gained the professional chartered qualification. From his time in media he learnt the value of marketing and getting the appropriate communication right and from Procurement he has learnt project, stakeholder and employee management skills as well as the important factors that ensure a business remains a going concern.
It is also worth highlighting that through his work, social and family network he has additional professional support should subject matter expertise be needed with examples being Legal and Finance.
Financials
Although not yet producing revenue as the service is currently free of charge, Whasgo Media have a clear strategy on how to monetise the site and be profitable within the next two years through the offering of a menu of additional services to Enterprises at a low one off or monthly cost. Examples of these premium services will be enhanced communications, reporting and messaging services.
Secured investment will be used to market the site (£35K) as well as further develop the site (£15K). All ongoing operational costs which are driven by the location software licensed from Postcode Anywhere will be covered by Whasgo Media.
With regards to ROI, whilst for the purpose of clarity the current forecasts are all based largely on assumptions, Whasgo Media are confident in an excess of 50% hence their personal investment into the company.
